Fine art supplies can be difficult to come by, which is why David Boyd Jr. is hosting an art supplies shop and swap on Saturday, March 5.
The event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. just outside his studio in Newnan on 14 E. Washington St. It will be like an art supply garage sale, Boyd said. Be in the know the moment news happens Subscribe to Daily and Breaking News Alerts Email Address

"A lot of people have excess art supplies," he said. "Art supplies are expensive. People might be looking for a half-used tube of paint or a paint brush or an easel."
A few other artists will join Boyd to sell and share, he said.
Prices for the items will range from a few dollars for brushes to a couple hundred for easels, according to Boyd.
"There's a little bit of everything for everybody," he said.
Leftover art supplies will likely be donated, Boyd said, to Backstreet Arts, if the organization is in need of them.
If the art supply swap is successful, Boyd said he hopes to turn it into an annual event.
