'Monet & Friends - Life, Light and Color' is now open at the Biltmore Estates.
The Biltmore is hosting a multi-sensory exhibition series that features masterpieces of art and design. A part of that series includes a new exhibit: "Monet & Friends - Life, Light and Color."
People can now go look at paintings and artwork that are now being projected on an enormous scale.
Organizers say this brings to life vivid details and bold brushstrokes of well-known painters like Claude Monet.
The exhibit features work from other famous Impressionist masters such as Pissarro, Cézanne, and Renoir.
“Just fun, vibrant, lively, relaxing, calming are some of the words that I use to describe the impressionist period," said Travis Tatham, Director of Entertainment and Event Programming, The Biltmore Company.
Historians say this period of time is known for a radical art movement.
“It truly is fascinating, if you truly look at each painting they created the immaculate detail just with each individual bush strokes and each painting has thousands of brush strokes to create these gorgeous paintings," Tatham added.
The three-part series is produced by Grande Experiences.
" Each individual component of this series offers fascinating ties to George Vanderbilt’s collection of treasures in Biltmore House," according to the Biltmore's website.
This exhibit runs until July 10, 2022. Ticket information can be found here.
"Monet & Friends" is set up in Amherst at Deerpark on the grounds on the Biltmore.
“Come and enjoy, and immerse yourself in all of the things that we have to offer at Biltmore, it’s a relaxing oasis and it's truly a place where you can come and create a wonderful memory with your family," Tatham said.
The final exhibit in the series is "Leonardo da Vinci – 500 Years of Genius." That runs from July 14, 2022, to Jan. 8, 2023.
