We all go through some sort of ordeal trying to figure out what to do with our weekends and if we haven’t got any plans then staying indoors and binging on Netflix is the next best thing.

However, fret not, because something in our weekend guide is sure to pique your interest and get you out of the house for some fun!

Here’s a list of activities you could do over the weekend, either solo or with friends and/or family.

With the Le Masterpiece Sip and Paint Event happening on July 29, now everyone can paint! Attendees can expect to leave the class with their very own painting of a ballet dancer, even if you have absolutely no painting skills. Don’t worry, there will be a professional artist to make sure you don’t start reminiscing about your painting days in preschool.

Tickets for the event are priced at RM120 per person and come with a glass of red wine, free flow of coffee, tea, snacks, and all the art materials required for the class. Attendees may come in a group of five and enjoy a free bottle of red wine! You are also welcome to bring your own beverages and snacks.

Friday at 8pm at Le Masterpiece, 19, Jalan SS 22/27a, Damansara Jaya, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite. You can find more information on their website.

Rollerwa, a Korean roller skating rink, established itself in Malaysia late last year. Located on the first floor of 1 Utama’s new wing (1 Utama E), Rollerwa’ retro theme is bound to make you feel like you’re a character in Saturday Night Fever or Stranger Things but with rollerskates on! Ticket prices differ based on age and rental equipment.

Open from 10:00am to 10:30pm everyday including public holidays. Rollerwa, 1UE, Bandar Utama Lot F603A-F613, Selangor, Petaling Jaya. For more information, you may check their Instagram page.

Skip your brunch date and join Maia Arte for a two-hour workshop on authentic Iranian Tezhip Art this Saturday or Sunday.

For more than a thousand years, the art of tezhip or tazhib has been practised throughout the Muslim world. From the Arabic word zahab, which implies gold, comes the word tazhib. Tazhib is mostly employed to embellish manuscripts. Today, calligraphy and tazhib are still frequently used in practise. Small brushes are used by illuminators to apply crushed gold, gouache, watercolor, and natural colours in a variety of themes.

The workshop is part of the Godown Artists Market happening this weekend from July 30-31 which will feature other various types of workshops and activities!

Tickets for RM99.00. Multiple classes July 30-31. At the Godown Arts Center, 11, 7 Lorong Ampang, Off Jalan Bukit Nanas, Kuala Lumpur. For more information and tickets, visit Eventbrite.
