Update: With the Season 1 update for MultiVersus now available, it is now confirmed that DC's Black Adam and Stripe from The Gremlins are on their way to the game in the upcoming months. Original story follows.
Just yesterday, it was revealed that we'd be learning about new characters coming to MultiVersus in Season 1. According to Tony Huynh, Game Director of MultiVersus, fans are supposed to get a surprise look at a few future unannounced fighters that are in development via the login screen.
Although the patch isn't live just yet (Huynh says that it should be live at around 10 a.m. PST today), it seems that images of a couple of unannounced characters have already surfaced.
As highlighted by InTheShade, fans should be expecting Black Adam from DC Comics and Stripe from Gremlins to be joining the roster sometime during Season 1. The image looks legit as it places the two antagonists in the center of the MultiVersus screen where Batman and Shaggy are normally located.
Black Adam tends to be the villainous counterpart to Shazam. Considering his ability to wield magic, Black Adam is powerful enough to even be a direct threat to Superman.
Stripe is a mischievous gremlin that was spawned after Gizmo was accidentally splashed with water from a paintbrush jar. This particular gremlin is the main antagonist of the first Gremlins movie, and is said to be stronger, smarter, and more dangerous than other gremlins.
