You may want to know how to craft the Raft Detail Plank, as it allows you to decorate your base a little bit to make it stand out more and deviate from the basic look of your initial raft. Raft is a survival crafting game set in a massive open ocean, but with all the building mechanics players can customise aspects of their raft along with their character to personalise their experience. So if you're looking to get your hands on the Raft Detail Plank, check out how you can get the blueprints and craft them.
Before you can craft the Raft Detail Plank, you will need to acquire the blueprint, but this can be a bit of a process as you will need to find and upgrade a Trading Post. These can be found on medium to large-sized non-story islands, and they are distinguished by their coloured lighting around the outside, along with the satellite dishes on the top.
Before upgrading the Trading Post, you will need to make a Raft Recycler, which is a structure used for inputting spare resources to make Trash Cubes. These are one of the forms of currency that can be used for trading. To get the blueprint for the Recycler, you will need to follow the main story toward the Radio Tower location, where it can be found on the top floor on a desk.
Make some Trash Cubes and head toward a Trading Post to purchase special bait. There are Simple, Advanced, and Expert Fishing bait, and these are used for catching tier one, tier two, and tier three rare fish respectively. Collecting these rare fish and selling them to Trading Posts will earn you another currency called Trade Coins, and reputation, which upgrades the post. You will need to repeat this task until your Trading Post of choice reaches tier three, unlocking new items.
You will now be able to purchase the Detail Plank blueprint for eight Trash Cubes and twelve Trade Coins, amongst other items like cosmetics, and the valuable Raft Advanced Scarecrow for protecting crops. With the blueprint, you can craft the Detail Planks with ten regular Planks.
When using them, they can be stretched so they reach whatever you want, but they need to be connected to a structure. They can also be painted with a Paint Brush to further customise them.
That's all for our primer on how to craft the Raft Detail Plank, and now you know how to get blueprint from the Trading Post and then build them on your raft.
If you want to customise your character and set them apart more, you can also get the Raft Diving Helmet from tier three Trading Posts.
