Care Closet: at Nashoba Regional High School open. Students have access to clothing, personal hygiene products, school supplies and grab- and-go food, no questions asked. Students just come to the library and take what they need. Donations are needed. The most popular items are shampoo and conditioner, deodorant, body wash, dress clothes and shoes. Gently used formal and semiformal clothing ( for interviews, DECA competitions, prom, semi formal dances) are appreciated. Tom Denney Nature Camp: open for summer 2022. The nonprofit camp will follow state guidelines for social distancing and masking. Museum of Russian Icons: In support of Ukraine, the museum reinstalls Lesia Sochor's "Pysanka: Symbol of Renewal," through July 24, featuring three new works in response to the crisis. Lecture, "Saving Ukrainian Art," with Oleksandra Kovalchuk, of the Odesa Fine Arts Museum, of Ukraine, and fundraiser for the Museum for Change, Saturday, July 9, 1-2:30 p.m.; $8 members, $12 nonmembers, includes admission. All proceeds will be donated to Museum for Change, which is working to help Ukrainian museums protect their collections. "Tea is for Tradition" exhibit, through Oct. 2, featuring an array of objects associated with tea drinking and the infusion of tea culture in Russian Art, craft and literature, including samovars, wooden dolls. Little Free Pantry Summer Guidelines: accepting diapers, baby wipes, toiletries and feminine hygiene products. Also accepting dry foods like boxed cereal, summer snacks for children, fish crackers and chips. USDA recommendations: Canned foods and other shelf-stable foods (condiments) cannot be stored in places exposed to high or low temperature extremes. The pantry gets hot in the summer and cannot keep donated perishables or canned foods in the pantry or donate them to the WHEAT food pantry. The pantry is located at the First Church, 725 Main St., open 24/7 and stocked by the community for the community.

Plastic Bag Recycling Program: sponsored by Wachusett Area Rotary Club, the third Saturday of the month. Bring your recyclable plastic bags to the Draught House, 44 West Boylston St., from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The goals is to collect 500 pounds of bags within six months with Trex Recycling Programs. All plastic from grocery bags, dry cleaning, newspaper sleeves, product wrap, stretch films, etc., must be clean, dry and free of food residue. Volunteers needed to help. Regional Recycling Center: 131 Raymond Huntington Highway, West Boylston, is open to residents of Boylston, Sterling and West Boylston. Visit wachusettearthday.org for the latest updates on both hours and announcements. Tuesdays, 9-11 a.m.; Thursdays, 4-6 p.m.; and the first and third Saturday of the month, 9 a.m.-noon. Masks are still required inside the ReUse building, but not in the outside areas. Accepting only two boxes per vehicle due to limited volunteers and storage capacity. Face masks are required on the site or in the building. Have your ID ready. The recycle center welcomes home goods, reusable furniture, crafts, sporting goods, fabric, bicycles, school supplies and appliances for swap or to be passed on to families in need. Fees are collected for some items. New volunteers welcome. Check the website, www.wachusettearthday.org, for other fees, hours and virus requirements. The Wachusett Watershed Regional Recycling Center will be closed if the actual or perceived (wind chill or real feel) temperature is predicted to be below 10 degrees Fahrenheit during the open hours. The center will be closed for snow if a significant snow event is ongoing into the open hours, or if the total snowfall is greater than four inches within the 12 hours previous to the center being open to the public.
