Meet Pigcasso — the world-famous painter.

What’s so special about Pigcasso? Well, she’s a pig. A pig that paints.

This talented 1,000 pound little cutie makes paintings that sell for thousands of dollars. Yes, you heard that right. This pig’s paintings go for $1K a pop!

Y’all — Pigcasso even snagged a deal with Swatch watches to make a limited edition Pigcasso watch!!

This piggy, who lives in South Africa, was rescued from an industrialized hog farming facility in 2016.

I’m betting her owner is pretty stoked that she stumbled upon this giant painting gem.

According to her owner and the sanctuary’s founder, Joanne Lefson, painting came naturally to Pigcasso. Soon after she was rescued, Lefson gave Pigcasso some items to play with and she immediately gravitated toward the paint brushes.

In case you are wondering HOW a pig can possibly paint, she uses a specially made paintbrush. And, she uses child-friendly, non-toxic paints to create her beautiful abstract works of art.

Get this. She signs all her paintings, as all artists do. But, she doesn’t do it with the swipe of her brush. She actually uses her piggy snout, pressed into the canvass, to sign her masterpieces. How cute is that?!?

Now, don’t worry. The “paint” she signs her painting with is made from beetroot and acrylic ink — nothing that will harm this giant artist of piggy proportions.

All proceeds from her paintings go to support the Farm Sanctuary SA, in which she lives.

This is no “normal” animal sanctuary. It is a “boutique and inspiring sanctuary for rescued farmed animals.” Y’all — they even have wine tastings on the property, as well as public tours. Sign me up, right?

Now, other artists might be a bit green with envy. Pigcasso is the first animal to host her own art exhibition, “OINK,” at The Waterfront in Cape Town.

She even has a new gallery opening in Amsterdam. Yes, I’m serious. It’s a two-month ‘pop-up’ gallery showcasing the Pigcasso’s abstracts.

Her colorful creations will cost you anywhere from $500 to $4,000 US dollars — so get to saving up the money now!!

According to Lefson [founder of Farm Sanctuary SA], the sanctuary uses the money from Pigcasso’s works to rescue more farm animals and “educate the general public on the atrocities of today’s factory farming practices that don’t just harm animals but also one’s health and environment.”

You can see Pigcasso’s artwork at her website, Pigcasso.org.
