Larger than life rowing mural nears completion in the Flats, April 28, 2022
CLEVELAND, Ohio – Like a rowing scull cutting through the Cuyahoga River water just feet away, Detroit artist Pat Perry’s paintbrush skillfully cuts a line of paint across the side of a cinder block wall. The brush leaves a wake of color behind, in what will soon be a giant mural on the Foundry’s campus.
Perry, with help from fellow Detroit muralist Ivan Montoya, is painting a two-story tall, 150-foot mural on the Big House, one of the buildings on the Foundry’s campus in Cleveland’s Flats. Perry began work on the mural April 19 and is scheduled to finish around Saturday, April 30.
